“In particular, the purpose of learning is always made clear and relationships between staff and pupils are positive and encourage learning .... There is a broad, creative and challenging curriculum which, as the school inspectorate found, promotes pupils’ enjoyment and their interest in learning. Children are encouraged to ask questions and share in the planning stages of a topic. Resulting work is displayed in the school and in the local church. This enquiry-based curriculum engages children so that they positively enjoy learning.
”There is usually a good balance of teaching and opportunities for pupils to learn for themselves. Pupils enjoy problem-solving and chances to discuss their thoughts with a partner“ – OFSTED report.

Foreign language teaching is also an established feature of life here. Last year, after a language course in Wells-next-the-Sea, Year 5 children could be found greeting the Head in French, Spanish, Punjabi and Latin!
